Holy moly it's been ages - Goal Updates
Update on my RMT Goals from 2022
Oh goodness hahaha. Last post I did was in 2022?! Wild. Well I have been very busy. Massaging all the time.
Funny, last post was RMT goals for myself so let's see where I am at in 2026 and did I achieve these goals.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Teach something massage related.
Well this is pretty cool cause I am now an official teacher at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. I am really proud of this one. And I am so happy being a teacher. I have never felt more at place in a career. Teaching and Massaging? Perfection. I wouldn't have it any other way.
2) Organize an RMT socializing event.
Ok well, I don't think I did this on the scale I was thinking. BUT I did make a socializing get together in the school and that was crazy amounts of fun. DnD socializing to be exact hahaha. But I think I still want to do a more traditional type get together. Also I think being a teacher in massage school has helped with my reason for this goal. I wanted to see more RMT's. Teaching really full filled that need.
3) Sponsor a kids sports / art team, yearly.
Ok well the economy took that out of my hands. I think if I find myself in a surplus of funds I will try to do this again, but realistically, right now, I can't do this. It's ok though. What always matters most is having a roof over your head, food on your table, and ability to breathe easily. So I am doing ok.
4) Full time only at my home practice.
Aw this speaks to how long ago I made these goals. I am definitely working from home and not the clinic anymore. And I wish I could see my 2022 self because I absolutely LOVE IT. It's amazing. I will never go back. I am so happy working from home. I am not full time though but that's because I also teach and that is a perfect trade off.
5) Take part in some kind of RMT event once a year.
The Canadian Massage Conference is my main go to. I love it and I never regret going. I really want to try going to a Massage Therapy Media social event. I had to miss the first one of this year. Hoping I can go to the next scheduled one.
Awesome. Well good to see where I was and where I am. I am actually really proud of myself and where I have got to. 4 years is a long time and yet such a short time. I still feel myself improving and striving to get better and better. I have new goals but I will do a different post for that. For now, I am going to digest how far I have come and remind myself that I am doing ok.
